About

Amandus Evensen
Born in the Arctic landscapes of Norway, Amandus is a writer working across poetry, prose, and drama. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Creative Writing, Drama and Theatre from Aberystwyth University. His work is driven by a deep fascination with atmosphere and storytelling in all its forms, particularly for the stage.
His writing explores existential questions of meaning, identity, isolation, and the tension between the real and the absurd. Drawing from both classical aesthetics and contemporary influences, he creates stories and atmospheres that move between the intimate and the philosophical, often inhabiting the psychological spaces beneath ordinary life.
Influenced by theatre, literature, and the desolate landscapes of the North, his work examines the fragile structures people build around themselves emotionally, spiritually, and socially, and what emerges when those structures fracture.
He publishes in both English and Norwegian.
